Personality of Feni, elected from other districts

Begum Khaleda Zia
Twice elected Prime Minister of Bangladesh
Brain-child of Feni

Begum Khaleda Zia: In 2001 N. A. Election, Begum Khaleda Zia was elected as a member of Jatiya Sangsad (Parliament) in 5 seats including Feni-1 and Lakshmipur-2 (Raipur) of greater Noakhali. She retained the Bogra seat and surrendered the other four. She had the rare glory to become Prime Minister of Bangladesh twice. She is the first lady Prime Minister of the country. Being a daughter of Feni, Khaleda Zia is very popular in that area. Hence the slogan "Proud we are many-Khaleda, the daughter of Feni."
