Chowdhury, Abdur Rahim, Salim Ullah, Golam Kibria and Abu Taher.

Despite various obstacles, some newspapers were once published from Noakhali. These are weekly ‘Satabdir Dak’ edited by Shah Akhter Prandhan, ‘Bye-weekly Abayab’ by Abul Hashem, ‘Noakhali Barta’ edited by Ashraful Karim, ‘Upakul Barta’ edited by Mozammel Hossain Miron, ‘Ajker Upama’ edited by Zaidul Karim Palash, ‘Weekly Alif ’ edited by Moniruzzaman Chowdhury and ‘Weekly Dishari’ edited by Jamal Uddin Bhuiyan. Besides, under the editorship of Kazi Rafiq Ullah,  ‘Daily Jatiya Nishan’ is being published from Chowmuhani as the principal ‘daily’ of Noakhali since long.
